Well its not as complicated as you might think. Contact us and we will complete an on site survey and we’ll provide guidance on the charger installation along with a quotation for the work. If you are happy with the quotation and would like to book your install we will schedule the work and begin the grant claim process. Everything will be taken care of.
Your EV charger requires an electrical source, usually directly from the property’s consumer unit (fuseboard). The cable required to supply the charger is quite chunky and therefore careful planning is required to find the best route for it. We are not a company to just find the easiest route for the cable. We take great pride in our work and treat every installation as if it was our own.
One part of the installation people are not always aware of is the earth spike. An earth spike is required in nearly all cases. In our experience this is where some installers fall short of the Utley EV standards. Earth spikes are not the best looking item in the world and require good planning and good execution.
Installs are booked in usually for at least half a day. In some cases it can take a full day depending on the install. It just depends on your property, location of the electrics ie fusebard and where you would like the charger sited.
Yes indeed. The charger will be installed, tested and certified on the day and will be ready to go straight away.
You will receive an invoice usually by email after the installation. As we claim the grant on your behalf the invoice you receive from us will be for the small amount remaining. This amount currently ranges between £250-£500 depending on the installation and the charger chosen.
Along with the invoice you will receive the electrical installation certificate and the Part P Notification for the work.
